• Effective tactics for maintaining safety while traveling and participating in large gatherings.
• Strategies for securing one's home and leveraging the environment to mitigate risks.

Participants also learn the significance of maintaining a heightened state of readiness and employing environmental scanning techniques to reduce risk levels and enhance situational awareness.

Part 2: Translating Personal Safety Skills into the Classroom

The focus shifts to applying the personal safety habits learned in Part 1 to the educational setting. This includes addressing:

• Classroom safety concerns and enhancing safety protocols during emergencies such as evacuations, lockdowns, and sheltering in place.
• Specific strategies for responding to active shooter situations and bomb threats.
